Community Impact Report 2025

The Ottawa Coalition to End Human Trafficking’s  Community Impact Report 2025 provides an important snapshot of human trafficking trends, service pressures, and community responses across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.

Drawing on feedback from organizations working across community services, law enforcement, healthcare, education, and prevention, the report highlights the growing demand for supports for individuals at risk of or experiencing trafficking. Findings point to significant and persistent challenges, including housing instability, limited and unsustainable funding, fragmented service systems, and gaps in early identification and referral pathways.

The report also emphasizes the critical role of collaboration, prevention, education, survivor-informed practice, and coordinated long-term supports in addressing human trafficking.

Through this annual report, OCEHT seeks to strengthen understanding of the local realities of trafficking, amplify the experiences and expertise of frontline organizations and survivors, and support collective action toward a safer, more responsive community.
